    Xperitas is a nonprofit educational organization dedicated to promoting global citizenship through authentic immersion experiences. Xperitas offers programs that embody true language and cultural immersion, inspire personal connections with diverse individuals and communities worldwide and provide transformational experiences for our participants.

    After a 6-year strategic alliance, Xperitas officially merges Intercultural Student Experiences and Global Citizens Network, two successful non-profits with over 70 years in combined experience.     Xperitas has three membership openings and are seeking qualified applicants who reflect the organizations’ values of deep respect for cultures, diversity, and learning. The Boards seek to more closely reflect the global community and have defined the following skills and capabilities desired in board candidates:
    • Enthusiastic endorsement of the mission and vision
    • Nonprofit board experience, intercultural interest/competence, work in/understanding of governance, human resources, nonprofit finance, audit and fund development
    • International experience, a second language, and/or international network a plus

    This position is a Teacher – Chinese Language and Culture at Highland Park Senior High School. This is a 10-month position working full-time.

    Minimum qualifications –
    • Valid Chinese teaching license issued by the Minnesota Department of Education.
    • Fluency in both the Mandarin Chinese and English languages.
    Knowledge, skills and abilities –
    • Knowledge of culture, customs and language where Chinese is spoken.
    • Knowledge of community resources.
    • Excellent communication skills (i.e. oral, written and listening skills both in Mandarin Chinese and English).

    The essential job functions include, but are not limited to, the following fundamental duties:
    • Conduct classroom instruction in all levels of Chinese, make appropriate use of instructional resources and technologies.
    • Implement the goals and objectives of the District and the school and/or program for which employed.
    • Follow the prescribed course of study, except as authorized in the curriculum outlines or by the principals or other official rules and regulations.
    • Evaluate student performance according to system used by school and/or District; promote student achievement; maintain required student records; make related reports to the principal as prescribed or authorized by the superintendent.
    • Maintain contact and communications with parents of students and work with them in the development of each student.
    • Provide a safe classroom environment. Perform classroom management duties; enforce District rules governing the conduct of students; take appropriate disciplinary action with students who do not follow District rules.
    • Maintain knowledge of current and emerging trends procedures, and evaluation processes.
    • Participate in in-service program planning and staff development activities.
    • Perform other related duties as assigned.
    Pay,Benefits, & Work Schedule
    This is a 10 month position working full-time (1.0 FTE).Salary and benefits are in accordance with the Teacher negotiated labor agreement. The labor agreement and salary schedule can be found at The minimum rate of pay for this position is $43,021 annually.

    Benefits are available to new employees after 30 days of active employment.     City of Lakes Waldorf School seeks a full time Spanish teacher to begin in January 2016. The teacher will be responsible for providing instruction to children (grades one through eight) in the Spanish language. The ideal applicant will be an experienced elementary and middle school language teacher who demonstrates fluency and knowledge of Spanish cultural traditions and has completed a bachelor’s degree as well as Waldorf training. A love of children and teaching and a knowledge of, or interest in, Waldorf education is required. We seek a teacher who has excellent organizational, interpersonal and classroom management skills.     Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree in Spanish or Education and at least two years of teaching experience.
