An event in collaboration with MCTLC and NNELL!

How can our assessments value what students DO with the language? Come learn how Integrated Performance Assessments (IPAs) can measure what we value in our K-8 language classrooms!  See how IPAs help our novice students acquire diverse perspectives and engage our youngest learners in meaningful activities that go beyond our classroom walls.  Concrete examples will be shared of how to design, create, and implement IPAs in K-8 classrooms that assess students in their 3 communication modes: interpretive, interpersonal, and presentational.

This session is available for K-8 language teachers of any language.  Both immersion and non-immersion language teachers are welcome!

Presenter: Megan Budke, Spanish teacher at Wayzata Public Schools. Megan has extensive experience developing and implementing IPAs and has served as her district's world language resource teacher.  She has worked with a number of districts in Minnesota and was the past presenter of the IP-YAY sessions in collaboration with MCTLC, CARLA, MNCOWL.  Please contact her with any questions at megan.budke@gmail.com
