Curriculum Writing Retreat and Workshop
Join us for a lakeside curriculum writing retreat to energize your efforts for improving your instruction!
Allison Spenader (College of St. Benedict/St. John's University and CLV Swedish Village Dean) and Frances Matos-Schultz (University of Minnesota) will facilitate 3 seminars focused on varied approaches to curricular innovation:
This unique workshop will be held at the Finnish Language Village, Salolampi, on the site of the world famous Concordia Language Villages in Bemidji, MN. Observe and be inspired by the villages in action during this rare summer learning opportunity. Enjoy world class international cuisine, culturally authentic architecture and the camaraderie of other language teachers from around the state. CEUs will be made available.
Dates: August 14-15 (Weds & Thurs) 2013. The retreat begins with lunch at the village at noon on Wednesday and closes with dinner at 6pm on Thursday.
Location: Concordia Language Villages Finnish Village, Bemidji, MN
Cost: $150 (includes workshops, shared lodging and meals). Paid registration must be completed by Aug. 7, after which registrations will be taken as space is available.
